Become
a Photography Field Inspector Taking
Pictures in Your Local Area
A
Review of John Carroll's Hometown
Freelancing Photography Manual
For those
interested in becoming freelance
photographers or for the beginning
photographer looking for help in the
industry, John Carroll has written an
excellent downloadable manual on how to get started
in the field inspection industry.
Many
freelance photographers are unaware that
there is an almost hidden demand out
there for people to take pictures of
real estate, automobiles, insurance
claims and businesses. Leasing
companies, mortgage lenders, insurance
companies and repossession agencies
needing to verify claims and purchases
look to hire these photographers as it
is almost always more cost-effective
than to hire someone in-house to
document it.
Here is an example of a photographer
filling a need: My wife was recently
involved in a car accident in a parking
lot. Someone collided with her
vehicle as she was pulling out.
The insurance company of the other
driver wanted to verify the damage to
her vehicle as part of the claim.
So they sent a third party photographer
to take pictures of our vehicle with a
digital camera. It took all of ten
minutes. While many of the larger
insurance companies have claim centers
you can take your vehicle to so they can
have one of their adjusters inspect it,
some of the smaller companies simply
need an unbiased, third-party they can
trust for simple photographs.
Carroll’s
manual covers the background of the
industry, why there is a demand for the
service
and how a prospective freelance
photographer, or field inspector as he
calls them, can make a decent side
income once they get started. The key
is organization and persistence. This
is not a get-rich-quick scheme by any
means. In fact, a field inspector needs
to plan and be persistent when starting
out in the industry. Once a photographer
has clients established, it is often
easier to get repeat business from these
clients.
The
manual contains a virtual database of
organizations around the country that
freelance photographers may contact for
work opportunities. Many have websites
and offices in several U.S. cities with
connections to various companies who
hire photographers on a regular basis.
Since it would be expensive and
inefficient from a logistics standpoint
to staff field reps in every area of the
country, most organizations turn to
third-party freelance photographers to
fulfill these assignments as independent
contractors. I have personally used
these websites and have made many
contacts in my home state of Minnesota.
John
Carroll’s freelance photography manual
costs only $37.00 and can be
downloaded instantly in PDF format.
It also contains a marketing
plan template and equipment list which
the beginning photographer will find
helpful in getting started. For example, he recommends
organizing a list of contacts,
important must-haves for photography equipment,
and a scheduler. He also includes
examples of some inspection forms you
are likely to see. But perhaps the
most important aspect of his product is
he explains how to treat this
opportunity like a business, rather than
just a hobby. Photographers who
learn and practice his concepts are
generally more successful as John
teaches how to take the business
seriously.
What's
nice is that John updates his sources
fairly frequently and includes some
additional ideas on how to maximize
income. He also offers suggestions thru
email and backs up his downloadable
manual with an
eight-week, 100% money-back guarantee.
If, for whatever reason, you are not
satisfied with the information he
provides, he will refund your money and
you get to keep the manual! All he
asks is that you provide feedback so
that he may improve his product for
future releases.

"At
first, I was afraid this was just
another 'get-rich-quick' scheme. But I
read the guarantee and thought if it
didn't work, I would ask for my money
back. I was surprised to learn how
many opportunities there are in just my
hometown of Cartersville, GA. Thanks
John for providing such a great resource."
R.
Jackson from Georgia
"This is by
far the easiest money that I have ever
made. I would have paid five times the
price for this
awesome product. It's a shame that
not many people know of this industry
and it's rewarding income."
